Open, issue focused and long-term: The Energy Research Networks have established themselves as dialogue-oriented forums for exchange between research, politics and industry.

They make energy research policy transparent and represent the broad research landscape in Germany on the following topics:

  • Bioenergy
  • Renewable energies
  • Energy Transition Construction
  • Energy Transition and Society
  • Industry, commerce, trade and services
  • Power grids
  • System analysis
  • Hydrogen

The energy research networks create synergies, network stakeholders, connect topics and accelerate the transfer of research results into practice. With their wide-ranging expertise, they provide innovations for research, politics and industry in order to advance the energy transition in Germany. They also provide impetus for future funding strategies. The research networks are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
